Learn Chess
Deleting your data
Last updated 15 September 2026
Learn Chess, published by Sudhi S, stores everything it knows about you on your own device. There is no account and no server, so there is nothing to request from us — you can erase all of it yourself, in the app, at any time.
How to erase everything
- Open Learn Chess on your device.
- Tap Settings.
- Scroll to Your progress.
- Tap Start over.
- Confirm by choosing Erase everything.
The erase happens immediately and cannot be undone.
What is deleted
- your puzzle rating, solve counts and streaks
- which lessons you have completed
- every finished game saved for replay
What is kept
- your settings — board style, computer strength, sound and so on. Erase these by uninstalling the app.
Uninstalling Learn Chess removes everything above, settings included, with no retention period: none of it was ever copied off your device, so nothing survives the uninstall.
Diagnostics sent by Google
On Android, the optional Smarter explanations feature uses Google's ML Kit, which reports its own usage diagnostics to Google. That data is Google's, not ours — we never see it and cannot delete it on your behalf. Turn the feature off in Settings → Playing → Smarter explanations to stop it, and see the Google Privacy Policy for how Google handles it.
